Rome, December 11, 2024 (LANA) - A meeting was held at the Libyan Embassy in Rome, attended by a number of members of the Libyan community residing in Italy, in the presence of the Head of the Consular Affairs Department, and the Cultural and Health Attachés at the Embassy.

The embassy stated via its Facebook account that the meeting discussed ways to enhance the social and cultural activities of the community, where the importance of establishing a social and cultural club that meets the needs of the community and provides a space to enhance communication and preserve the Libyan identity was emphasized.

The attendees also discussed the mechanism for selecting representatives of the community to communicate with the embassy, ​​with the aim of ensuring the organization of joint efforts and meeting the aspirations of community members.

The embassy indicated that the meeting comes within the framework of its keenness to strengthen relations with members of the community and support initiatives that serve the interests of the community and overcome the difficulties and obstacles they face.
