Benghazi, 11 December 2024 (Lana) Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR), Ageela Saleh, accompanied by the Prime Minister, Osama Hamad, and Field Marshal, Khalifa Haftar, received in Benghazi the President of the Republic of Congo, Deni Sassou Nguesso.

The meeting discussed a number of important files, including the national reconciliation file, as the attendees commended the efforts of the African Union in this file to end the political division in the country.

According to the official page of the government assigned by the HoR yesterday, Hamad expressed his confidence in the role of the President of the Congo and his sincere desire in this direction, hoping that his steps will succeed in reuniting the Libyans and ending all forms of conflict and division so that we can move forward in completing the plans and programs for the reconstruction of the country.
