The Congolese President submits to the Presidential Council a proposal for a reconciliation charter.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, December 9, 2024 (LANA) - A Libyan-Congolese talks session was held in the capital, Tripoli, today, Monday, headed by the President of the Presidential Council, "Mohamed Al-Manfi", the Council's deputy, "Abdullah Al-Lafi", and the Congolese President, Chairman of the African Union High-Level Committee on Libya, "Denis Sassou Nguesso".
The media office of the Presidential Council reported that the talks focused on the file of national reconciliation in Libya, sponsored by the African Union, and advancing the wheel of reconciliation and activating the role of the African Union in supporting the Libyan-Libyan dialogue, in a way that ensures achieving stability and peace in the country.
The two sides also discussed the importance of combining regional and international efforts to enhance the reconciliation process within the framework of the African Union's commitment to supporting Libya at this critical stage.
According to the media office, President "Denis Sassou Nguesso" presented a proposal for a reconciliation charter to the Presidential Council at the end of the talks.
