Damascus, December 8, 2024 (LANA) - The Libyan embassy in Syria called on all citizens present and residing there to exercise caution and vigilance in light of the current security conditions that may affect their safety, after the Syrian opposition announced its control over Damascus and the overthrow of the Bashar al-Assad regime.

The embassy urged everyone to adhere to the instructions of the competent Syrian authorities and to stay away from areas witnessing unrest or violence.

It called on citizens in Damascus to quickly contact it to register their data so that it can review and follow up on their conditions on an ongoing basis, to take the necessary measures.
