Tripoli, December 4, 2024 (LANA) - The head of the Government of National Unity, "Abdul Hamid Dabaiba", met today, Wednesday, with a number of members of the Constitution Drafting Assembly.

Dabaiba denounced what he described as "a conspiracy to disrupt the referendum on the constitution", noting that this obstruction represents targeting the will of the Libyan people, adding that the people elected the members of the assembly directly and for a clear and specific purpose, which is to draft a constitution that expresses the aspirations of all Libyans.

"Dabaiba" explained that any attempts to obstruct this path are a direct obstruction of the Libyan people's march towards building a state of law and institutions, stressing the commitment of the Government of National Unity to support the efforts of the assembly and support it to achieve this important national goal and the necessity of reactivating the role of the assembly to complete the constitutional entitlement, which is the basis for Libya's stability and political future.
