One Million Dinars for Each Transfer.. A New Service for Companies Launched by the Central Bank of Libya

01 December 2024 (LANA) - The Central Bank of Libya announced, on Sunday, the launch of a new service for transfers between companies with a ceiling of one million dinars per transfer.

The bank said, in a statement, that the launch of the service comes within the framework of expanding electronic payment services according to the plan prepared by the bank in this regard.

The Central Bank of Libya raised the ceilings for immediate payment at the level of individuals and merchants to 20,000 dinars per transfer for individuals, and 100,000 dinars for a single purchase transaction.

The Governor of the Central Bank held meetings today with the directors of departments at the bank and the liquidity team, and the general managers of banks to discuss the cash liquidity shortage crisis and solve it gradually and radically.
