Tripoli, 1 December 2024 (Lana), President of Guinea-Bissau, Umaro Sissoco Embaló, met at the presidential palace with Fathallah Al-Zani, Minister of Youth, and Special Envoy of the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity (GNU), Abdel Hamid Dabaiba.

Al-Zani handed over a letter from the PM about the political coordination and bilateral cooperation between the two countries, according to the Ministry of Youth.

Embaló reiterated his country’s support for the GNU’s efforts for development and stability, affirming that the GNU is the legitimate and internationally recognized government leading to general elections and noting that the African Union supports this trend.

Al-Zani also conveyed Embaló's invitation to the PM to visit Guinea-Bissau as soon as possible, appreciating his continuous directives to diversify Libyan investments in Africa.
