MOF reviews plans of developing strategic partnerships with the EU institutions.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, 26 November 2024 (Lana) Director of the European Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abu Bakr Al-Tawil, held the first consultative meeting with a number of Libyan institutions concerned with cooperation programs with the European Union (EU) and the Council of Europe to discuss plans for developing a strategic partnership with the EU institutions.
The meeting, which was held at the ministry’s headquarters in Tripoli yesterday, was attended by representatives of the Human Rights Office at the Ministry of Interior, the National Council for Freedoms and Human Rights, the General Information Authority, the National Authority for Information Security and Safety, and the General Authority for Monitoring Media Content.
The meeting reviewed current programs and future plans aimed at developing bilateral relations and strengthening the strategic partnership with EU institutions, according to the Ministry’s Facebook page.
These meetings come in line with the directives of the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity and the Minister of Foreign Affairs in Circular No. 10 of 2021 and Circular No. 17 of 2023 regarding urging government agencies and institutions on the importance and need of consulting and coordinating with the Foreign Ministry regarding controlling and organizing the process of communication with international organizations and authorities.
