Tripoli, November 25, 2024 (LANA) - Minister of Local Government "Badr Al-Din Al-Toumi" discussed today, Monday, with the Turkish Ambassador to Libya "Goven Begich" aspects of cooperation in the field of local administration and some other files of common interest.

The Ministry of Local Government explained that during the meeting, discussions were held on ways to open new horizons for cooperation in several fields related to the work of the local administration system, including urban planning, solid waste management, environmental sanitation, and planning to confront emergency events and respond quickly to them.

The field of restoring some historical buildings that were built during the Ottoman Empire was also discussed.

At the end of the meeting, the two sides agreed to draft a memorandum of cooperation and understanding to organize and expand the horizons of cooperation in a way that serves common interests and enhances local development efforts in Libya.
