LARMO participates in the 20th session of the General Assembly of CARIN in Paris.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, 24 November 2024 (Lana) The delegation of the Libyan Assets Recovery and Management Office (LARMO) participated in the 20th session of the General Assembly of the "CARIN" International Asset Recovery Network, which was held in Paris with the participation of 61 countries and prominent international experts.
The office said on its Facebook page that its delegation held a series of important meetings on the sidelines of the meeting with various countries, including Ukraine, Portugal, Malta, France, South Africa, Germany, the United Kingdom, and the United States, to enhance joint cooperation in the area of asset recovery and combating financial crimes.
It emphasized that it is working to strengthen international partnerships to combat money laundering and recover looted Libyan assets and that it is seeking, in cooperation with the UN, to become the regional office for North Africa for the network.
It highlighted that these efforts will give momentum to strengthening the database, expanding the international financial and legal institutions, and enhancing cooperation with law enforcement agencies around the world.
