Al-Baour discusses with the Ethiopian Ambassador to Libya ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries
Pulbished on:Tripoli, November 20, 2024 (LANA) - The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Taher Al-Baour, reviewed with the Ethiopian Ambassador to Libya, Hassan Ibrahim Musa; The progress of bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries; and the relations between them.
During the meeting, ways to work together to follow up on the results of the visit of the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Al-Dabaiba, to Addis Ababa during the past months were discussed, which resulted in the reactivation of the Joint High Committee in various fields between the institutions of the two countries; As well as working to sign more memoranda of understanding and agreements to serve the common interests of the two friendly peoples.
The meeting, which was held at the Ministry's headquarters in Tripoli, also touched on opening a direct air line for Ethiopian Airlines to Libyan cities.
The two sides discussed exchanging visits through high-level ministerial delegations, in order to stand on the resumption of the work of the joint committee and work on reopening the Ethiopian embassy from the capital, Tripoli.
Al-Baour informed the Ethiopian ambassador that a technical delegation of experts and managers of Libyan investment companies is about to visit Addis Ababa to enhance cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
