Pulbished on:New York, 20 November 2024 (Lana) The U.S. representative to the UN Security Council (SC) commended the progress in the investigations into crimes and violations in Libya, calling for the start of at least one trial before the end of 2025.
In his speech to the Security Council, the U.S. representative denounced the "heinous crimes" committed by the Kaniyat militia and those who cooperated with it, stressing the need to end impunity and urging the Libyan authorities to enhance accountability and cooperation by providing information and bringing those wanted by arrest warrants.
