Repsol Murzuq discusses its 2024/2025 exploration program in the Murzuq Basin.

Tripoli 20 November 2024 (Lana): Repsol Murzuq Company discussed in its first technical meeting in 2024 with the Exploration Department of the National Oil Corporation (NOC) its exploration activity during the current year in the two concessions in the Murzuq Basin, in addition to the proposed works for 2025.

The meeting discussed the preparation operations for drilling the exploratory well A1-02/30 (Moamel Al-Nisr), which is expected to start drilling at the end of this month, and reviewed the preparations for drilling six other exploratory wells during 2025.

The company confirmed that the preparation operations in the area are proceeding in excellent security conditions, and no security breaches have been recorded.

The meeting included the Director of the Exploration Department at the NOC and the Director of the Exploration Department at Repsol, in addition to a number of specialists from both sides, and via closed circuit a team of specialists from the companies "OMV," "Total,” and "Equanor" participating in the exploration projects.
