Al-Aqouri meets with the Egyptian Consul in Libya.

Benghazi 20 November 2024 (Lana): Head of the Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Committee of the House of Representatives (HoR), Youssef Al-Aqouri, discussed with the Egyptian Consul in Libya, Mohamed Arafa, facilitating travel procedures for Libyan citizens to Egypt, as well as the exchange of prisoners between the two countries and the return of Libyan prisoners to serve their sentences in Libya.

This came during a meeting held yesterday at the HoR in Benghazi, according to statements by the Spokesman for the HoR, Abdullah Belihaq, where they also discussed views about issues of common interest.

Al-Aqouri stressed the depth of historical relations between the two countries and his commitment to work with the Egyptian side to strengthen the relations between the two countries in all areas, which will bring prosperity to the Libyan and Egyptian peoples.

For his side, Arafa explained his point of view on several topics, including travel procedures for Libyan citizens to Egypt, as well as the file of exchanging prisoners between the two countries and how to work on it, expressing his happiness to visit the headquarters of the HoR and stressing his country's commitment to strengthen relations in all areas.

In conclusion, the two sides agreed to continue coordination to enhance joint work in a way that serves the common interest and brings stability and prosperity to the two peoples.
