Dabaiba confirms his support for the efforts of the National Oil Corporation and Bengdara

Tripoli, November 18, 2024 (LANA) - The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, affirmed his full support for the efforts of the National Oil Corporation to enhance production and achieve stability in the sector.

This came during his meeting with the Chairman of the National Oil Corporation, Farhat Bengdara, who briefed him on the progress of the plan to increase oil production.

The Prime Minister stressed the importance of continuing to implement development plans to raise the efficiency of the oil sector, in a way that achieves maximum benefit from natural resources and supports development in the country, praising the great efforts made by workers in various oil sites.

For his part, Bengdara presented a position on daily oil and gas production, and the progress of development projects to increase production according to the Corporation's plan, stressing that the target is to increase production to 2 million barrels per day.

It is noteworthy that production reached a record level, reaching 1,374,118 barrels of crude oil and condensates, in addition to 202,983 barrels of gas equivalent, bringing the total to 1,577,101 barrels per day.
