Tripoli, 18 November 2024 (Lana) A number of ambassadors and representatives of EU countries visited yesterday the Counting and Statistics Center of the High National Elections Commission (HNEC) in Tripoli.

The Chairman of the Commission's Board of Directors, Imad Al-Sayeh, accompanied by the Board Member, Abu Bakr Marda, briefed the ambassadors on the center's work mechanism.

The Commission stated that the visitors commended the Commission’s efforts to make the municipal elections a success and to establish the principles of integrity, transparency, and neutrality, highlighting that this visit comes within the framework of the international community's follow-up of the progress of the municipal council elections (first group) 2024.
