Libyan-Turkish talks to activate a MoU in the area of law enforcement and training.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, 18 November 2024 (Lana) Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Public Affairs, Major General Mahmoud Saeed, discussed yesterday with Turkish Deputy Minister of Interior, Munir Karaloğlu, the activation of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) in the area of law enforcement and training, which was recently signed in Istanbul, to increase the efficiency of security cadres.
During the meeting, which was held at the ministry’s office in Tripoli, the second meeting of the Libyan-Turkish Security Cooperation Committee was held in the presence of the committee’s members, where they discussed ways to strengthen and follow up on security cooperation between the two countries and issues of common interest.
For his part, Karaloğlu commended the GNU-Interior Ministry’s efforts, stressing his country’s desire to develop the strategic partnership in the security area between the two countries.
