Al-Baour discusses with the Tunisian Foreign Minister strengthening bilateral relations and exchanging visits.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, November 15, 2024 (LANA) - The acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in the Government of National Unity, Taher Al-Baour, discussed by phone today, Friday, with the Tunisian Foreign Minister, Mohamed Al-Nafti, the strong relations between the two brotherly countries, which are not open to discussion; according to a statement by the ministry.
During the call, according to the ministry, ways to enhance bilateral relations in all fields were discussed through the exchange of high-level visits to enhance the partnership between the two countries.
This call comes a day after the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation confirmed that the file of "demarcating the Libyan-Tunisian borders" had been completely closed for more than a decade, through a joint committee between the two countries.
The Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Thursday that since then it has become a stable and fixed file and is not open for discussion or reconsideration.
Tunisian Defense Minister Khaled Sehili announced before a session of the Tunisian House of Representatives during the past two days that the demarcation of the borders with Libya and its follow-up are being carried out at the level of a joint Tunisian-Libyan committee, stressing that his country will not allow the relinquishment of any inch of national territory.
