Libya stresses the need to take into account the opinion issued by the ICJ to stop Zionist aggression against Gaza.
Pulbished on:Tripoli 11 November 2024 (Lana): Libya stressed the need to take into account the contents of the advisory opinion issued by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on 07/19/2024, which obliges the Zionist entity to stop its aggression and end its occupation of the Palestinian territories.
This came in its remark by its delegation that participated on Sunday in the preparatory meeting of foreign ministers for the Arab-Islamic summit scheduled to be held today in Riyadh to discuss the ongoing Israeli aggression against Palestine and Lebanon.
The Libyan delegation stressed that the advisory opinion's description of the practices of the Israeli entity against the Palestinian people as occupation and persecution refutes the claim of the so-called Israel that what it is doing is self-defense and proves the description of aggression in its actions.
It is noteworthy that the Libyan delegation participating in this meeting is headed by Abdul Mutalib Thabet, the Permanent Representative of Libya to the League of Arab States, and the membership of Mohammed Al-Hafi, the Permanent Representative of the State to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and Fateh Bishina, Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of Libya to Saudi Arabia.
