With Libya's participation: The Ministerial Conference of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum issues a statement on strengthening cooperation in combating terrorism.
Pulbished on:Moscow, November 10, 2024 (LANA) - The activities of the first ministerial conference of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum were held in the Sirius region of the Russian Federation, with the participation of the State of Libya with a delegation headed by the person in charge of running the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in the Government of National Unity, "Taher Al-Baour".
The conference focused on discussing a wide range of vital issues of interest to the African continent and the Russian Federation, including enhancing cooperation in the field of combating terrorism, science and technology.
"Al-Baour" stressed in his speech at the conference the importance of enhancing cooperation and partnership that contribute to achieving security and stability in the African continent, stressing the importance of combating terrorism and extremism, stressing the support of the State of Libya for all international efforts made in this regard.
At the conclusion of its work, the conference issued a joint statement (African-Russian) on enhancing cooperation in combating terrorism, and emphasizing the importance of coordination between African countries and Russia to confront this common threat.
