Central Bank of Libya announces the size of public revenue and spending until the end of October 2024
Pulbished on:Tripoli, November 7, 2024 (LANA) - The Central Bank of Libya announced, on Thursday, that the size of the state's general revenues amounted to 81.877 billion dinars during the period from January 1 to the end of October 2024, while the size of spending amounted to 77.325 billion dinars.
The bank said in a statement that the total revenues from oil sales amounted to 67.8 billion, while the revenues from oil royalties amounted to 11.6 billion, taxes 1.3 billion, customs 131 million, communications 125 million, fuel sales 62 million, and other revenues from monitoring financial services in cities for public services amounted to 859 million dinars.
The bank indicated that spending on the first chapter allocated to salaries amounted to 48.6 billion dinars during the mentioned period, and the expenditures of the second chapter allocated to operating expenses amounted to 6.6 billion dinars, while spending on the third chapter allocated to development amounted to 325 million dinars, while the value of spending on the fourth chapter for support was 12 billion dinars.
The statement indicated that spending on the financial arrangements of the National Oil Corporation amounted to 6.7 billion dinars, covering the three chapters of the corporation, which are the first chapter at about 2.9 billion dinars, the second chapter at a value of 1.8 billion, and the third chapter at a value of 1.9 billion dinars.
The statement explained that the volume of spending on the financial arrangements of the General Electricity Company amounted to 3.1 billion dinars, to cover the expenses of the third chapter to complete the exceptional budget approved during the year 2023 for the benefit of the company.
