Tripoli, November 6, 2024 (LANA) - Libya chaired the meeting of the Geopolitical Group of the Nordic Region at the African Parliament in South Africa.

Libya was represented at the meeting by the member of the House of Representatives, member of the African Parliament, "Youssef Al-Fakhri", in his capacity as Vice President of the North African Group, in the presence of the Rapporteur of the House of Representatives, member of the African Parliament, "Saleh Qalma".

The spokesman for the House of Representatives, "Abdullah Balhiq", said in a press statement on Tuesday evening ((The meeting discussed the request referred by the Presidency of the African Parliament regarding the vacancy of the position of First Vice President of the Parliament, which is a position allocated to the North African Group. For his part, Member of the House of Representatives and Vice President of the North Group in the African Parliament, Youssef Al-Fakhri, confirmed that the North Group issued a unanimous decision to criminalize the brutal acts committed by the Zionist entity in both Palestine and Lebanon, noting that this decision will be ratified by the Presidency of the African Parliament at the end of the meetings of this session.
