UNSMIL organizes a workshop on the "Code of Conduct for Military and Security Personnel."
Pulbished on:Tripoli, 6 November 2024 (Lana) The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) organized yesterday a two-day workshop in Tunisia on the “Code of Conduct for Military and Security Personnel" in Libya,” with the participation of military and security officials and a number of representatives of relevant ministries and institutions from across the country.
The mission said in a tweet that the discussions focused on aligning the Code with international standards and Libyan law, as well as ways to enforce it on the ground, with a focus on enhancing human rights.
The participants emphasized the need for stronger coordination among security and military entities to tackle pressing challenges, including border security, violent extremism, and illegal migration.
