Turkish Ambassador to Libya: We intend to open our consulate in Benghazi in the coming days.
Pulbished on:Benghazi, November 4, 2024 (LANA) - Turkish Ambassador to Libya "Guven Begich" said that his country intends to open its consulate in the city of Benghazi in the near future, stressing that work is underway to return Turkish flights after fulfilling the required procedures and standards.
This came during his visit and the accompanying delegation today to the Benghazi Municipality and his meeting with the Chairman of the Municipality's Executive Council "Al-Saqr Bujwari" and a number of municipality members.
During the meeting, "Begich" expressed the Turkish side's desire to activate the joint economic and commercial movement, stressing the importance of joint cooperation for the benefit of all.
During the visit, many topics of common interest were discussed, including intensifying businessmen's visits, supporting and strengthening economic aspects, in addition to cooperation in the field of restoring historical buildings and benefiting from Turkish expertise in the fields of infrastructure, reconstruction and developing human capabilities in the municipality.
For his part, the Chairman of the Executive Council of the Benghazi Municipality stressed the need to achieve fruitful cooperation in the field of the private sector and between municipalities and the importance of opening the Turkish consulate in the city of Benghazi.
