Dabaiba calls for strengthening relations in the fields of military and security training between African countries.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, October 4, 2024 (LANA) - The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, called for strengthening relations in the fields of military and security training to achieve more cooperation between African countries.
This came in a speech he delivered today, Monday, during his attendance at the closing activities of the 18th Conference of Leaders of African Command and Staff Colleges (Acoc), hosted by the Libyan Command and Staff College in Tripoli as the current president of this conference.
The Prime Minister stressed in his speech that Africa is the big house, and that its security is the security of all.
In turn, the African leaders praised Libya's support and its return to hosting international events, expressing their thanks for the good reception and distinguished organization witnessed by the conference, according to the media office of the Prime Minister.
The objectives of the conference included exchanging experiences and enhancing cooperation between command and staff colleges in various fields, which contributes to developing training and qualification programs, unifying educational curricula, and supporting the strategic capabilities of African countries.
Rwanda took over the presidency of the 19th session of the conference from Libya, as it will host the activities of the next session next year.
The conference was attended by leaders of African Command and Staff Colleges from Algeria, Tunisia, Burundi, Morocco, Sudan, Kenya, Ghana, Niger, Botswana, Cameroon, Guinea-Conakry, Tanzania, South Sudan, Sierra Leone, Rwanda, Malawi, Uganda, Togo, Namibia, in addition to participants from Mozambique, South Africa, and the African Union Commission.
