Libya confirms during its participation in the Turkish-African Ministerial Conference in Djibouti its readiness to host the upcoming summit
Pulbished on:Djibouti, November 3, 2024 (LANA) - The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Taher Al-Baour, stressed the importance of the Turkish-African partnership and its role in achieving sustainable development in the African continent.
Al-Baour pointed out in his speech during the third Turkish-African Ministerial Conference, which began its work in Djibouti, the importance of the role of regional economic groups, such as the Arab Maghreb Union, which Libya currently chairs, in enhancing regional cooperation and integration.
Al-Baour announced Libya's readiness to host the fourth "Turkish-African Summit" scheduled to be held in 2026, stressing that Libya will work to provide all appropriate conditions for the success of this summit.
Al-Baour praised the efforts made by the African Union Commission to enhance cooperation between the African continent and Turkey, expressing his appreciation for the role played by the President of the Republic of Mauritania as the current President of the African Union, and the Chairman of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Taher Al-Baour, arrived in Djibouti to participate in the third Turkish-African Ministerial Conference, which aims to review and evaluate cooperation mechanisms between the two continents.
