The media office of the ministry stated that the meeting discussed ways to activate industrial cooperation between the two countries and joint work to achieve economic development, which is an important factor in achieving stability and attracting investments.
The office explained that the meeting focused on developing strategic partnerships aimed at supporting the Libyan industrial sector, transferring modern technology and technical knowledge, and the role of the United Kingdom in providing the necessary support for this important sector, given Libya's natural resources and a distinguished location that makes it a gateway to the African continent and an outlet for goods and services.
The meeting discussed the conditions of the Libyan Tractors and Agricultural Supplies Company, which is one of the companies affiliated with the ministry, as the minister stressed the importance of investing in this company and re-operating it due to its pivotal role in supporting the agricultural sector and providing the necessary agricultural equipment and supplies to enhance local production and achieve self-sufficiency.
The Minister of Industry and Minerals, Ahmed Abu Heisa, stressed the importance of benefiting from advanced British expertise in the field of manufacturing and technology, pointing out the ministry's commitment to building effective partnerships that contribute to developing national industries and enhancing their competitiveness at the local and international levels.
For his part, the British Ambassador stressed his country's keenness to enhance cooperation with Libya and support its efforts to achieve economic stability and provide technical and technological expertise that contribute to achieving a qualitative shift in the Libyan industrial sector.
