Tripoli, October 27, 2024 (LANA) - Jordan announced today, Sunday, the cancellation of the prior approval system for Libyans to enter its territory, a few days after the Royal Jordanian Airlines announced the resumption of its flights to the capital, Tripoli.

Jordanian Interior Minister Mazen Al-Faraya said in press statements that the ministry agreed to allow Libyan nationals to come to Jordan without the need for prior approval from the Ministry of Interior, and to facilitate travel requirements so that they are limited to the condition of holding valid passports for a period of no less than three months, so that they can obtain an entry visa through the e-visa website or upon arrival at border centers.

According to the minister, this step comes with the aim of continuing to provide the facilities it provides to the government to strengthen the national economy and attract the largest possible number of investors and businessmen, as well as visitors and tourists coming for treatment and recovery purposes to the Kingdom.

Royal Jordanian Airlines announced a few days ago that it had resumed flights to the Libyan capital, Tripoli, after an interruption of more than ten years, with three flights per week to Tripoli and flights to Benghazi in the near future, with three flights per week as well.

The company expressed in a statement that it hopes that the resumption of flights between Jordan and Libya will stimulate trade and tourism between the two countries, especially medical tourism.
