Tebboune discusses with Al-Manfi bilateral relations and continuing coordination between the two countries.
Pulbished on:Algeria, October 16, 2024 (LANA) - Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune discussed with the President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Manfi, on Wednesday evening at El Mouradia Palace in Algiers, ways to enhance bilateral relations and the importance of continuing coordination between the two countries.
During the meeting, according to the media office of the President of the Council, ways to enhance fraternal bilateral relations between the two countries, and issues of common interest, were discussed, in addition to the depth and centrality of strategic relations between Libya and Algeria, especially in light of the threats facing the region, and the importance of continuing coordination and cooperation to overcome the current critical stage that the Arab region and the Islamic world are going through, most notably the Palestinian issue.
The two sides stressed their mutual keenness to translate the historical relations and ties between the two countries by strengthening institutional bilateral mechanisms and following up on various aspects of bilateral relations and ways to develop them continuously.
According to the office, Al-Manfi congratulated President Abdelmadjid Tebboune on his victory in the presidential elections and the Algerian people's renewal of confidence in him, expressing his great appreciation for the strong bilateral relations that bind the two brotherly countries.
The Algerian President stressed the depth of the historical relationship between the two brotherly peoples in various fields, and his continued support for the President of the Presidential Council in all his steps to reach a comprehensive political settlement leading to fair and transparent parliamentary and presidential elections, in addition to his support for the national reconciliation project adopted by the Council, according to the media office.
Tebboune also stressed the importance of continuing joint cooperation in all fields to enhance stability and development in the region.
President Abdelmadjid Tebboune had given the President of the Presidential Council an official reception at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic upon his arrival in Algeria earlier today.
