Minister of Interior meets with Head of IOM.

Tripoli, 16 October 2024 (Lana): Acting Minister of Interior, Major General Imad Trabelsi, discussed yesterday with Head of International Organization for Migration Mission (IOM), Nicoletta Guardano, ways to strengthen cooperation between the Ministry and the IOM, especially in raising the number of voluntary return flights for migrants from inside and outside shelter centers.
They also discussed the IOM’s support for the ministry in the areas of building capacities and stressing the ministry’s continued efforts to achieve the aims of this program.
The meeting dealt on enhancing the IOM’s support in the area of border security and management, in addition to the initiatives related to settling the status of migrant workers and providing humanitarian aid on the western borders.
