Al-Abed discusses with the Chargé d'Affairs of the Egyptian Embassy the organization of the presence of Egyptian workers in Libya and the settlement of their legal status.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, October 15, 2024 (LANA) - Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation in the Government of National Unity "Ali Al-Abed Al-Rida" discussed today, Tuesday, with the Chargé d'Affairs at the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt "Tamer Al-Hanfi" ways to organize the presence of Egyptian workers in Libya and settle their legal status.
The media office of the ministry stated that the two sides stressed during the meeting the importance of enhancing joint cooperation between the two countries in the field of organizing labor, and the effective role of the "Wafed" platform launched by the ministry to facilitate the procedures for registering and settling the status of foreign workers, including Egyptian workers.
"Al-Abed" stressed the need for Egyptian workers to adhere to the legal procedures in force in Libya, with the aim of improving the work environment and providing legal and safe opportunities for all workers.
"Al-Hanfy" praised during the meeting the efforts of the Ministry of Labor in organizing the Libyan labor market, expressing the Egyptian embassy's readiness to provide the necessary support to guarantee the rights of Egyptian workers and facilitate their legal procedures.
