Geneva 13 October 2024 (Lana) First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives and Head of the Parliamentary Division of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, Fawzi Al-Nuwairi, participated in the meeting of the African Geopolitical Group at the headquarters of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Geneva, Switzerland.
The official spokesman for the HoR, Abdullah Blihaq, said that the meeting discussed the outcomes of the group's meeting last March and the report of the representatives of the African Group in the Executive Committee of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
The meeting also included the emergency item to be included in the agenda of the General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union and the election of members of the African Group Bureau (President, Southern Sub-Region).
