New York, 8 October 2024 (Lana) Secretary-General of the UN, António Guterres, received yesterday at the UN’s headquarters in New York, the Acting Head of the UNSMIL, Stephanie Koury.

“We discussed the situation in Libya and the evolving political and security dynamics on the ground, where Guterres expressed his strong support for the mission’s efforts to facilitate a political process aimed at resolving the current stalemate,” Koury said in a tweet.
