Al-Koni and Al-Lafi discuss with the French President's Special Envoy to Libya, Paul Soler, the latest political developments in Libya

) - The two deputies of the Presidential Council, "Musa Al-Koni" and "Abdullah Al-Lafi", discussed today, Monday, with the Special Envoy of the French President to Libya, "Paul Soler", the latest developments in the situation in Libya.
The Council explained through its official page that "Soler" conveyed the greetings of President Macron to the Presidential Council, and stressed his country's continued support for efforts to achieve stability in Libya. The meeting, which was attended by the French Ambassador to Libya, "Mustafa Mahraj", also included a number of bilateral files, including the political deadlock that the country has been experiencing for months.
The French envoy stressed that his country places the Libyan file among its top priorities and seeks to help Libya get out of the political deadlock by communicating with all political parties to achieve stability and reach elections through Libyan solutions. He also stressed his country's continued consultations with countries interested in the Libyan issue, to find an appropriate formula that contributes to resolving the Libyan crisis.
The Special Envoy praised the Presidential Council's handling of the recent developments in the scene and its ability to take steps that help end the current state of political stagnation.
The two deputies praised the interest that France gives to the Libyan political file, and stressed the need for the international community to support Libyan-led solutions to achieve stability.
