Cairo, September 17, 2024 (LANA) - The US envoy to Libya, Ambassador Richard Norland, met today, Tuesday, with the head of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the Egyptian House of Representatives, Representative Karim Darwish.

"Norland" said through the US embassy's account on "X" that during the meeting, they discussed deepening US-Egyptian consultations on the efforts made to advance the political process in Libya.

Yesterday, Monday, the US envoy held consultations that he described as fruitful with the Assistant Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ambassador Hossam Zaki, in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.
