Power outage in Bani Walid due to the burning of a transformer at Souf station.

Tripoli, September 16, 2024 (LANA) - The General Electricity Company announced today, Monday, a power outage in Bani Walid; Due to a malfunction and burning of power transformer No. "1" at the Souf station "66/11 kV".

The company explained in a post on its page, that it has begun to dismantle the old transformer and install a new one on its base, while the medium voltage maintenance teams in Bani Walid are still assembling the accessories of the new transformer.

In the meantime, a support team from the Jdabiya Medium Voltage Maintenance Department arrived to support the procedures for installing the new transformer, and to complete the work of restoring the electric current and maintaining the stability of the network in the region, according to the company's post.
