Sabha, September 15, 2024 (LANA) - The mayor of Sabha has assigned the mukhtars of the neighborhoods to assess the damage caused by the rainfall in the city's neighborhoods.
This came in a notice published by the Sabha Municipal Council today, Sunday, on its Facebook page.
Earlier today, the National Center for Meteorology said, today, Sunday, that the amount of rain that fell on the city of Sabha amounted to 63 mm.
According to the Sabha Municipal Council, the rain led to at least two deaths and 33 others were injured, stressing the need to exercise caution.
The center expected the sky to be partly cloudy, increasing from time to time, with the possibility of thunderstorms falling on some areas in the southwest this evening, especially "Ghat - Qatrun - Al-Barakat - Akakus Mountains - border areas with Algeria", which causes valleys to flow.
