A scientific conference on renewable energy and mechanical engineering kicks off in Benghazi.
Pulbished on:Benghazi, September 14, 2024 (LANA) - The first international conference on mechanical engineering, materials and renewable energy, organized by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Technology in Benghazi in cooperation with the Ministry of Technical and Vocational Education in the government assigned by the House of Representatives, kicked off in Benghazi today, Saturday.
The conference aims - according to its organizers - to bring together researchers, engineers and interested parties to discuss the latest developments in the field of mechanical engineering, materials and renewable energy.
The conference chairman, Nasser Suleiman Al-Aqouri, told - Libyan Al-Anbaa newspaper - that this distinguished event aims to discuss the challenges and innovations facing technical development and to identify the importance of integrating technical education into education programs and keeping pace with the technical development taking place in the world, as well as creating an appropriate environment for new ideas that contribute to the development of renewable energy and finding solutions to the technical challenges facing us today.
He explained that the conference aims to encourage faculty members at universities, colleges, technical institutes, higher institutes and researchers in various research centers and technical training centers to develop their capabilities in scientific research, each in its field of specialization, and exchange scientific research experiences in the specializations of mechanical engineering, materials engineering and renewable energy in Libyan universities, colleges and technical higher institutes.
The conference also aims to innovate new research areas for postgraduate students in the specializations covered by the conference, and to strengthen the relationship between scientific departments in engineering colleges at universities, colleges, technical higher institutes and scientific research centers, as well as to enhance the role of universities, colleges and technical higher institutes in qualifying specialized human cadres, and to support the role of mechanical engineering sciences, materials engineering and renewable energy and their applications in serving society and solving its problems, and to consolidate the relationship between higher and technical education institutions and industrial institutions and develop administrative and engineering projects in them.
