Tripoli, 11 September 2024 (Lana): The GNU Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a meeting to discuss and follow up on Libya’s loans to other countries.

The meeting, which was held yesterday at the Ministry’s headquarters in Tripoli, was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Finance, Audit Bureau, and Central Bank of Libya, and they discussed files of Libya’s loans and mechanisms for collecting them from debtor countries.

The Director of the Department of International Law and Treaties at the Foreign Ministry, Miftah Al-Tair, said in a statement to the Libyan News Agency that the meeting was held to monitor and follow up on Libya's loans to other countries and take the necessary legal measures to preserve the Libyan state's funds.
