Government assigned by the HoR provides aid to Chad to deal with the floods.

Benghazi, 8 September 2024 (Lana) The Government assigned by the House of Representatives (HoR) dispatched an air convoy to transport some urgent aid to Chad to face the consequences of the rains and floods that hit areas there in recent days.

The government said on its Facebook page that the heavy rains in Chad caused floods and torrents in populated areas and resulted in human and material damage.

They transported urgent aid from Benina Airport in Benghazi to the capital's airport in N'Djamena to help lift the burden on those affected.

“This step comes within the framework of the humanitarian and positive role of the Government of Libya and the General Command and standing with those affected in the brotherly Chad,” it added.
