"Al-Manfi" expressed his understanding of the concern of the United Nations mission in Libya "due to the ambiguity of the description of our decisions and the overlapping of competencies", stressing that the Presidential Council together took a decision that strengthened the rule of law and achieved the decision to choose the representatives of the people for a governor who enjoys integrity and competence, accompanied by another decision to form a board of directors for the first time in many years" according to the statement.
He added, "We exercised our jurisdiction in the political agreement by appointing senior employees, achieving broad political representation for all forces and parties, which reflected the achievement of stability without abandoning the experience and competence of its elements."
Al-Manfi said in his statement, "National responsibility requires us to resolve our alliances, no matter how severe they are, internally through unconditional dialogue based on sovereignty and rejecting external dictates or calls for inaction and delay in serving our people and ending their suffering."
Al-Manfi renewed the Presidential Council's commitment to holding fair elections to enable the Libyan people to determine their fate and renew the legitimacy of their institutions.
He said, "The time has come to work together within an institutional framework to unify the military institution for the mission of securing the borders and vital facilities in preparation for resorting to the Libyan people to hold elections within a maximum period of February 17, 2025 to decide their fate, renew their options, and renew the legitimacy of their institutions," according to the text of the statement.
