Sirte, August 25, 2024 (LANA) - The Joint Military Committee (5+5) reviewed, in the closed session held on Saturday evening, at its permanent headquarters in the city of Sirte, the topics related to its work and the results of its previous meetings, according to sources for the LANA correspondent.

The sources indicated that the committee discussed during this closed session the security developments in the Libyan arena without mentioning details.

The meeting of the Joint Military Committee (5+5) comes at an important time when the security situation in the country is witnessing tensions, mobilizations and military movements that have raised local and international fears of the collapse of the ceasefire decision in the country.
