Tripoli, 20 August 2024 (Lana): Chargé d’Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Libya, Jeremy Berndt, said that the U.S. government is committed to helping Libyans shore up stability and safeguard their sovereignty through programs that promote economic development, reconciliation, and capable municipal governance.

This came during his meeting yesterday in Tripoli with a delegation of budget and assistance experts from Washington and USAID development partners who work in support of the U.S. Strategy to Prevent Conflict and Promote Stability, according to a tweet by Berndt.

“The engagement offered insight into challenges and opportunities for progress, especially in southern Libya,” Berndt said.
