Tripoli, August 19, 2024 (LANA) - The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, "Al-Siddiq Al-Kabeer", made a phone call today, Monday, to the British Ambassador to Libya, "Martin Longden".

The Central Bank of Libya reported on its official page that the most important thing discussed during the phone call was the increasing threats to the security and safety of the Central Bank, its employees and its systems, and the necessity of preserving the stability and independence of the Central Bank, and its continued performance of its important role in maintaining the financial sustainability of the state.

According to the same source, the British Ambassador expressed his country's full support for the Central Bank of Libya in its prominent role over the past years in maintaining financial and economic stability and preserving the country's capabilities.
