With Libyan participation, the activities of the World Youth Summit kicks-off in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, August 11, 2024 (LANA) - The activities of the World Youth Summit were opened in the Iraqi capital on Saturday evening under the slogan "Youth, the Pillar of Nations" with wide international participation of youth delegations, decision-makers and influencers representing more than (28) countries, including Libya.
Abdul Majeeb Al-Shawish, a member of the local youth councils representing the State of Libya, spoke at this summit. During his speech, he touched on the successes of the plans and initiatives of the Ministry of Youth in the Government of National Unity in involving youth in the field of security and peace through the training programs, workshops and dialogues that it implemented, in addition to explaining the mechanism of work of the leadership bodies in the local youth councils and their effective role in issues related to peace and security through meetings, workshops and awareness seminars.
According to the ministry's official Facebook page, the sessions of the World Youth Summit varied, as the most prominent topics of the first day's sessions revolved around the role of youth in promoting security and peace in local communities and national and regional plans for youth coalitions expert in international security and peace, with the aim of exchanging experiences and sharing success stories in the policies followed and national and regional mechanisms to resolve the most prominent problems and obstacles in this regard.
The impact of digital media and technology had a dedicated space through interactive sessions that addressed the presentation of digital tools and the role of the media as an influential and effective means, through the interventions of experts in the media field, young media professionals and those interested in technology fields.
