Pulbished on:Tripoli, July 22, 2024 (LANA) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation announced the resumption of the work of the Indian Embassy in Libya from the capital, Tripoli, including the consular section for granting visas to Libyan citizens, and following up on the conditions of expatriate Indian workers.
The Ministry reported on its official website on Monday that the announcement of the reopening of the Indian Embassy in the capital, Tripoli, came during a press conference held by the Director of the Department of Asian and Australian Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Nouri Al-Kaseh, with the Chargé d'Affaires of the Indian Embassy in Libya, Muhammad Aleem.
During the press conference held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tripoli, the two sides stressed the depth of historical relations between the two countries.
The two sides also expressed the desire of Libya and India to activate friendly relations and cooperation in all fields, which is considered an important step for both friendly countries within the framework of the efforts of the National Unity Government and the efforts made to strengthen bilateral relations by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, represented by the Department of Asia and Australia, with the countries of the continent for the return of their embassies to work from Libya.
