Al-Lafi meets with notables from the municipalities of Al-Andalus district, Zintan and a number of mountain cities

 Tripoli, July 04, 2024 (LANA) - Representative of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, met today, Thursday, with representatives of notables from the municipalities of Hayi-Andalus, Zintan, and a number of mountain cities.

The meeting discussed the recent security incidents and violations, including the recent assassination attempt against a Libyan citizen using a car bomb while leaving his home, in a dangerous precedent that brings to mind the era of terrorism and its tools.

During the meeting, the notables and elders stressed the need to bring the accused in this case to justice, appreciating the efforts of the Presidential Council and the Public Prosecutor in addressing the repercussions of these crimes, renewing at the same time their confidence in the Libyan judiciary in order to reveal the truth and hold the perpetrators accountable, whatever their qualities.

Al-Lafi affirmed his great confidence and unlimited support for the measures taken by the Attorney General in particular, as well as the relevant security agencies.
