 Tripoli, July 04, 2024 (LANA) - The President of the Supreme Council of State, Mohamed Takala, met today, Thursday, with the Deputy Italian Ambassador to Libya, Riccardo Villa, and the First Secretary at the Embassy, ​​Ernesto Cecchetelli, at the Council’s headquarters in Tripoli.

During the meeting, they discussed the political, economic and security developments in Libya, international and regional efforts to advance the political process, and the Council’s efforts to reach a comprehensive political consensus that leads to fair parliamentary and presidential elections.

The meeting also discussed consolidating bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation, in a way that serves the interests of both countries, especially in the file of illegal immigration.
