NOC denies information reported by a British newspaper regarding its involvement in the supply of military equipment.

Tripoli, July 3, 2024 (Lana) The National Oil Corporation (NOC) denied anonymous information that was referred to in the British newspaper “The Sunday Times” article dated 6/10/2024 about the corporation’s involvement in operations to supply military equipment that were intercepted in Italy.

In a statement issued yesterday, the NOC affirmed that all its operations, along with those of its partners from international oil companies, are subject to review and scrutiny by regulatory authorities such as the Libyan Audit Bureau and the Administrative Control Authority.

The NOC expressed its astonishment and denunciation of the interference operations that target its work and reputation and the inclusion of its name in such media materials, stressing that it reserves its right to respond and take the necessary legal measures inside and outside Libya against local and international media that publish and transmit news from unknown sources.
