Brent and Khoury discuss supporting municipal elections.

Tripoli - July 2, 2024 - (LANA) - The American Embassy in Libya announced today, Tuesday, that the Charge d'Affairs of the American Embassy to Libya, "Jeremy Brent," met in Tripoli with the Acting Head of Mission, "Stephanie Khoury."
According to the embassy on its account on X, “Brent” said that the United States fully supports the efforts of the United Nations mediation mission in Libya, adding that we encourage all concerned parties to interact constructively with the political process to overcome Libya’s divisions and draw a reliable road map towards national elections and unified governance.
We also discussed the best ways to support the upcoming municipal elections, according to the embassy.
